As a personal assistant, you will help create a daily life characterized by independence, participation, and good quality of life. About the position: 

We are looking for someone who wants a developing and rewarding job as a personal assistant on a fixed schedule, 50%, for a woman in her 70s who lives with her husband in Skövde. Her home is equipped with aids such as stair lifts, walkers, electric scooters, and wheelchairs, which facilitate both mobility and independence.

The tasks include support with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and other household chores. To thrive in this role, it is important that you have knowledge and experience in dementia care and understand the impact of the disease. It is also important that you have an open mind, are flexible, and can create a safe and pleasant environment for both the client and yourself.

 About you:

We are looking for a responsible and caring woman, preferably aged 30–55. You should have good physical strength to assist with transfers. A nursing assistant education or similar is an advantage, but equally important is that the chemistry is right so that you both enjoy working together. Important qualities include being reliable, enjoying helping others, and having an empathetic and attentive approach. Patience and flexibility are also essential qualities you should possess. As there is sometimes a dog in the home, it is important that you are not allergic.

  • Non-smoker.
  • Tolerates pets. 
  •  A driver's license is an advantage, or alternatively, living centrally in Skövde.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. 
  • Relevant education/experience in dementia care.
Scope Work arrangement:
  • Start date: By agreement. 
  • Employment rate: 50 %. 
  • Agreement: Introduction shifts and about a month of hourly employment before the regular employment rate is assigned, provided everything goes well. This gives you a chance to feel secure and well-prepared for your new role.
  • Work shifts: Mainly afternoons and evenings between 14:00–21:00. Occasional weekend shifts may occur, as well as the opportunity to cover for illness or leave.

We continuously contact candidates who are relevant for a first interview. The position will be filled when we have found the right person, which may happen before the application deadline. If the position involves working with a minor client, a criminal record check is always required.

Employment conditions

To be employed with us, you need to be at least 18 years old, be able to prove your identity, and show that you have the right to work in Sweden. Additionally, a valid BankID is required as both the employment contract and time reports are signed digitally.
