Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

With us, you can work in elderly care or disability services and social psychiatry - areas where every effort makes a significant difference in people's daily lives:

Elderly Care – Home Care

You work in people's homes and support them with care, meals, cleaning, shopping, and social activities. During Christmas, your presence means a lot.

Elderly Care – Special Housing

In our nursing homes, you provide care and create security together with colleagues and nurses. You assist in daily life and contribute to the Christmas spirit through small, lovely moments with the residents.

Disability & Social Psychiatry

You support individuals with disabilities or mental health issues in their daily lives, leisure, and recovery. During Christmas, the work is largely about creating structure, security, and community.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute, you become an important part of our teams during a time when many need extra support. You spread care, security, and joy and gain a work experience that truly matters.

Examples of job responsibilities:

  • Support with personal care and hygiene
  • Assistance with meals, cleaning, and daily chores
  • Be a social companion - take walks, have coffee, converse, or decorate the tree together
  • Accompany to medical visits or leisure activities

The work occurs during the day and evening, weekdays and weekends, with an extra high demand during Christmas and New Year.

We are also looking for night substitutes.

You enter your availability in our booking system TimeCare Pool. There is a chance for scheduling over Christmas and New Year, and the opportunity to continue working into the spring.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who can start working immediately and work over Christmas and New Year, as well as into the spring of 2026. We place great importance on your personal suitability and prefer that you are attentive, cooperative, and social. You want to help people live their best lives and treat those around you with respect.

Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years old to perform the tasks according to the requirements of the Work Environment Authority
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Education in care or educational training
  • Experience in similar work
  • Driving license B

To work in home care, you need to be able to cycle. It is a physically demanding job where you are very active, and heavy lifting may occur. As a substitute, we need flexibility as you may be booked for shifts close to the start of the shift.

If you have a degree in care or educational training, please attach your grades/certificates for protected professional title in your application!

In some of our LSS units, you will work with children and young adults under 18 years old. For these units, we require a police clearance certificate.
