Hand Therapist at the Hand and Plastic Surgery Clinic with Burn Center
The Hand and Plastic Surgery Clinic with Burn Center (HPK) is a distinct regional and national unit with extensive highly specialized clinical operations, education, and research.
The clinic's catchment area for hand surgery and plastic surgery encompasses the Southeast healthcare region with approximately one million inhabitants. The Burn Center is one of Sweden's two NHV units for advanced burn care. The operations are both planned and acute, 24/7 throughout the year. Care is provided as both inpatient and outpatient. The clinic has about 130 employees, and we work in teams around the patient. HPK serves as a competence center for wound care. Our clinic is characterized by high competence, active research work, and we are an educational center for various professional categories.

Job Description
The Hand and Plastic Surgery Clinic with Burn Center works with highly specialized rehabilitation of patients; hand and plastic surgery patients and burn patients. As a hand therapist with us, you will primarily work with the rehabilitation of hand surgical patients in outpatient care.
Common tasks include:
- Assessment of hand function before and after surgery.
- Training of hand function after hand surgery.
- Manufacturing of individualized orthoses.
- Fitting of prefabricated orthoses.
- Supervision of students.
Work Group
You will be part of a group consisting of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Work with us is carried out in multiprofessional teams together with other professional groups.
About You
You are a licensed physiotherapist or licensed occupational therapist. We are looking for someone with empathetic ability who can understand others' perspectives without taking over their feelings. In this role, you are required to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. We also see that you are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, drive processes forward, and are flexible as you interact with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other professions. We are looking for a person with good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. We seek a team player who enjoys having fun at work. It is advantageous if you have current experience in hand rehabilitation or the musculoskeletal system.
