Our Offer

Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Training Center. We provide a broad primary care service where we offer care to everyone throughout their life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Job Description

As a specialist physician in general medicine, you will work with your own patient list. You will have a varied job, usually with some side assignment such as SÄBO, Home Care, or BVC. An important part of the job is to mentor our training doctors from the medical program as well as AT, BT, and ST doctors. You will participate in on-call duties during evenings and weekends based in Finspång and have night standby on weekends in the eastern part of the county.

In the development that primary care is undergoing, we see the need for time for development work at the health center as well as your own professional development. The position includes scheduled time for development work and your own professional development.

Work Group

The medical group at both health centers consists of 15 specialist doctors, ten ST doctors, and periodically BT, AT, and junior doctors. We also have recurring medical students in our operations.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence primarily in general medicine. We are also interested in geriatrics or other specialist competence deemed suitable for our operations. It is important for us that you have a broad general knowledge regardless of specialty.

You have a Swedish medical license (attached to the application) and Swedish language skills corresponding to level Swedish C1.

You have good collaboration skills, communicate, listen, and solve obstacles in a constructive way. You feel secure in your professional role and easily adapt to new situations and see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You have a positive attitude towards your work and act in accordance with decisions made, policies, and guidelines. We place great emphasis on personal qualities where collaboration and good treatment of patients and colleagues are important to us.

We offer a permanent 100% position. The position involves work on weekdays as well as on-call work during evenings and weekends and night standby on weekends. The primary placement of the position is in Finspång, but work at both locations may be relevant.
