Your mission In the role of nursing assistant, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff, you will work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

About Grännäs Strand Grännäs Strand nursing home is located with a sea view in Valdemarsvik. The residence was built in 2008, adapted for our target group. If you take the bus to Valdemarsvik, it takes 15 minutes to walk to the Grännäs area where Grännäs Strand is located. The residents live in their own handicap-adapted apartments with bathrooms and kitchenette. At Grännäs Strand, there are currently about 35 care staff, many of whom have long experience and high competence for our target group. The residence is staffed around the clock, all year round, with awake staff at night. We have our own chef and adapted food for our target group. A nurse is available 24/7, and a nurse works during the day in the care. Our doctor rounds once a month and is always available for consultation by phone. We have access to an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and speech therapist who follow up on training and assistive needs every other week. As a nursing assistant, you will work during the day, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule, and the degree of employment may vary. You have a manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a career opportunity for you.  

Your experience and knowledge We assume that you who are applying to us:  • have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people • are responsible and have personal maturity • enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues You have at least a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. You have a driver's license. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.
