Your Responsibilities

As a care assistant at Sandrinoparken Nursing Home, you will work to meet the individual needs of the residents and create a safe, meaningful, and enriching everyday life. Together with your colleagues, you are an important part of the daily care work and contribute to social interaction and participation through activities and community. We encourage you to bring your own interests or hobbies that can enrich the daily life of the residents.

Your tasks include care work such as assistance with personal hygiene, transfers, household chores, and medical interventions according to delegation. The work is based on IBIC (Individual's Needs in Center) and characterized by a salutogenic approach where the focus is on the individual's resources and abilities.

Your role includes being a contact person for a number of residents. This means you participate in welcome conversations, are involved in planning interventions, and are responsible for implementation plans and documentation in Treserva. You will also have ongoing contact with relatives and other partners.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Your Workplace

Sandrinoparken is a nursing home in central Linköping for elderly individuals with cognitive illnesses. The facility has a total of 51 permanent places spread over five floors. There is also a spa and a small garden.

You will be part of a larger team where collaboration, flexibility, and collegial support are a given. You will primarily belong to one floor, but the working method means that you may work on several floors as needed. Therefore, we see that you enjoy variety and have the ability to quickly understand different individuals' needs.

The operation is designed from a salutogenic perspective where both the decor and color scheme are well thought out. Culture, community, and meaningful activities are important elements of everyday life and can consist of everything from cultural events and reading aloud to music and conversation.

Meals are a central part of the day at Sandrinoparken. The food should be something to look forward to, and weekends, holidays, and themed days are highlighted with extra care regarding the dining environment and activities.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare and has experience working in care and support. You preferably have experience working with individuals with cognitive illnesses. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of IBIC, a salutogenic approach, and low-arousal responses.

Working in elderly care involves many contacts and documentation, which requires you to communicate well in spoken and written Swedish. You have a good ability to use digital tools, and it is an advantage if you have experience with documentation in journal systems.

As a person, you are responsible, self-driven, and collaborate well with others. You communicate clearly, are attentive, and have a good empathetic ability. You are flexible, adaptable, and see opportunities in changes.
