Your Responsibilities

As a specialist nursing assistant, you support individuals in their daily lives and contribute to safe and quality care. You are part of the care team and work together with colleagues during the day, evening, and every other weekend. Together, you are responsible for structuring, planning, and implementing the services that individuals need. This may involve support in daily living as well as ensuring appropriate care based on individual needs.

In this role, you are expected to contribute with advanced competence and work towards quality improvement, including mentoring care staff and relatives. You may also receive extended authority or delegation for specific tasks and services from the operations manager or nurse. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to understanding and compliance with our systematic working methods, such as self-checks and follow-ups in the operations.

Your Workplace

Sandrinoparken is a nursing home in central Linköping for elderly individuals with dementia. The facility has a total of 51 permanent places spread over five floors. There is also a spa and a smaller garden.

You will be part of a larger team where collaboration and collegial support are a given. You will primarily belong to one floor, but the working method is characterized by flexibility, and you may need to work on multiple floors as needed. Therefore, we see that you enjoy variation and have the ability to quickly understand the needs of new individuals.

Sandrinoparken is designed from a salutogenic perspective, where both the decor and color scheme are carefully considered. Culture, community, and meaningful activities are important parts of the operations. Activities may include cultural events, reading aloud, newspaper reading, or music.

Meals and the dining environment are also a central part of everyday life at Sandrinoparken. Weekends, holidays, and themed days are celebrated with extra care regarding table setting and activities.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained specialist nursing assistant and has experience working in care, support, and assistance. It is an advantage if you have experience in dementia care and knowledge of mentoring and training others, especially in the field of dementia.

Working in elderly care involves many contacts with residents and relatives, as well as documentation, which requires you to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. You have good digital skills and experience documenting in journal systems. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the IBIC (Individual's Needs in Center) working method.

As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, and proactive in your work. You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly, and ensure that information is conveyed. You have good empathetic abilities and can understand others' perspectives and situations. You also understand how different individuals absorb knowledge and can adapt your communication style based on the recipient.
