The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, authority exercise, ordering of services, and provides care and support on its own. Your Responsibilities

Welcome to Vretaliden Nursing Home! We are now looking for an engaged employee who wants to make a difference in the daily lives of our residents!

Our goal is for those living at Vretaliden Nursing Home to receive the help and support they need to manage their daily lives, and together we create a meaningful everyday life. There is also the opportunity for social interaction with others, or if one prefers, individual activities for those living here. As an employee with us, you are an important part of making this possible. Together with our colleagues, we create good days together.

Your work includes care tasks which may involve assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, various service tasks, and medical tasks. We work based on the national value framework and a salutogenic approach, focusing on the healthy aspects and bringing out the individual's own abilities. Since some residents have cognitive illnesses, you need to meet each individual where they are at the moment.

Your work also includes being a contact person for several individuals, which means you plan support and assistance together. You participate in welcome conversations, establish and revise implementation plans, and document in the Treserva system. You will have contact with relatives and other cooperation partners.

Your Workplace

Vretaliden Nursing Home is centrally located in the picturesque district of Ljungsbro and has 19 places, 9 for dementia care and 10 for somatic care. The facility also includes a sheltered housing with associated apartments. Here, a close-knit team works well together. As a new colleague, you will be greeted with warmth, positivity, and a strong team spirit. We look forward to welcoming you to our group!

Your primary placement will be either in the dementia unit or the somatic unit. If necessary, you may also work in the other unit or in any of the other operations within our cluster. The cluster includes Kärna Care Home and Kärna Nursing Home in Malmslätt as well as the Ekhult Nursing Home, just outside Ljungsbro.

With us, you will have the opportunity to develop within elderly care and take responsibility in an advocacy role, where you together with us find an area that suits your interests and knowledge. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a high school education, and we consider it an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant. For the position, you need to have experience working in elderly care. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in dementia care and have experience with low-arousal approaches. Additionally, knowledge of BPSD is considered an advantage.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in journal systems.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations. Finally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
