Job Description
As a radiology nurse at the University Hospital in Linköping, you will be offered an inspiring everyday life with varied tasks. You work in interdisciplinary teams with the patient in focus and frequently collaborate with referring units, which requires good communication skills. The clinic operates 24/7, which means that work is scheduled during daytime, evening, night, and weekends.
We offer you a solid introduction where you will get to know the clinic and achieve on-call competence. Depending on where you are in your career, we will adapt the introduction. As a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in an introduction program that includes placements in all major modalities, such as conventional radiology, PET/CT, MR, CT, and photon counting, as well as intervention (endovascular and CT-guided).
We are driven to stay at the forefront and encourage research and further development. Therefore, we provide you as an employee interested in advanced academic studies the opportunity to apply for our master's program, which offers 25% paid study time over a 4-year period. For those interested in pursuing a PhD, there is an opportunity to do this during 50% paid work time.
Through our collaboration with CMIV, we have the advantage of being able to drive and be part of the forefront of radiology. We continuously work on projects aimed at finding new technical solutions and are currently conducting several development projects within photon counting technology.
Work Group
The clinic has about 230 employees including radiologists, radiology nurses, nursing assistants, and medical administrators. We have a strong research activity with several master's students, doctoral candidates, and PhD radiology nurses, as well as one of Sweden's few associate professors with a background in radiology nursing.
About You
We are looking for a licensed radiology nurse with an interest in developing the operations in line with new technical possibilities. As you work in constant dialogue with patients, colleagues, and referrers, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Previous experience in research, working in emergency care, and/or working in a 24/7 operation is advantageous.
As a person, you possess good communication skills and are motivated by good teamwork. You have a strategic mindset and the ability to see the big picture. You put the patient first, act, and make decisions with good judgment and quality awareness.
