Physiotherapist at the Thoracic Vascular Clinic

The Thoracic Vascular Clinic at the university hospital in Linköping is part of the Heart Center.

At the clinic, highly specialized cardiac and vascular care is provided within the Southeast healthcare region as well as regional healthcare. The clinic has its own operating department, intensive care unit (THIVA), recovery unit (THUVA), two wards (ward C126 and C116), and a vascular outpatient clinic. Currently, there are two physiotherapists working at the Thoracic Vascular Clinic. They primarily work on both wards as well as in THIVA and THUVA.

We are currently looking for a new physiotherapist to join the clinic!

Job Description

Together with our other physiotherapists, you will work with preoperative information and postoperative rehabilitation of our inpatients who have undergone surgery on the heart, lungs, or vessels. The postoperative treatment mainly consists of breathing exercises, mobilization, and movement training. You will be part of interdisciplinary teams with other staff categories in each unit and have close collaboration with your physiotherapist colleague. Since the work is also conducted independently to some extent, it is important that you can take your own initiatives in your work.

About You

You are a licensed physiotherapist, and we prefer that you have previous experience working in inpatient care, preferably postoperative rehabilitation and breathing training.

We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills and is responsible. You are proactive and good at planning and prioritizing your work effectively. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You are good at listening and communicating and focus on the patient's best interests. At the Thoracic Vascular Clinic, we value a good work environment and good teamwork, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our operations and our team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
