Our Offer

Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers in the evening and on weekends, and the General Medicine Training Center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

The ST training in general medicine in Region Östergötland is organized by the General Medicine Training Center (AMC), where study directors and educational secretaries coordinate side training, arrange courses and training, and participate in the design of the resident physician's training plan. Job Description

We offer you a challenging and varied job. We believe that you are drawn to primary care because you are interested in the breadth of the specialty area of general medicine and can envision a future in primary care. As a resident physician with us, you will receive regular supervision and, in addition to participating in ST meetings, have the opportunity to participate in training together with other junior doctors, AT doctors, and resident physicians at the health center.

The health center is located in bright and modern premises in Norrköping and currently has about 15,100 registered patients. At the health center, there are medical consultations, specialist nurse consultations, nursing consultations, child health care, psychosocial competence, foot care, and a laboratory. We are also responsible for a nursing home.

Work Group

We are about 65 employees at the health center who enjoy working together in an open work climate. The medical team currently consists of five specialists in general medicine, three licensed physicians, and seven resident physicians. We also have continuous presence of AT doctors and medical students, creating a dynamic and educational environment.

We work in teams with daily check-ins, knowledge exchange, and close collaboration between our various professions. Regular medical meetings provide space for experience exchange, guideline work, and improvement initiatives. With us, we help each other – especially when the pace is high – which creates security and joy at work.

About You

You are a licensed physician and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to documented level C1, as you need to be able to communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues fluently. If you have not completed AT or have approved Basic Competence according to BT, there is the possibility to complete BT during the first year of employment.

You have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. You have a positive and professional attitude. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a team, but also work independently.
