Your future tasks

Before your employment, you will receive theoretical and practical training, so you feel secure in your tasks. The tasks vary depending on the workplace and sector, but the common goal is to create a positive and safe daily life for the individuals we support.

Elderly Care

Special Housing:

In our care and dementia homes, you assist residents with care, medication, and daily tasks. The work involves supporting those who can no longer manage on their own, such as dressing, hygiene, or meals. You collaborate with colleagues but also take your own initiatives. We have residences both centrally and in our outskirts, Hällestad and Rejmyre.

Home Care:

In home care, you work in the client's home and support with both care and daily tasks according to a decided intervention plan. The work is often independent, where you carry out your tasks according to the day's schedule. It is a mobile job where you both work individually and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals. In some workgroups, a B driver's license is required, while it is not necessary in others. We have home care units both in central Finspång and our outskirts, Hällestad and Rejmyre.

Short-term Accommodation:

In short-term accommodation, you support individuals who temporarily need extra care and rehabilitation, for example after a hospital stay or while waiting for other housing. You assist with care, medication, and daily tasks such as dressing, hygiene, and meals. The work is based on individual needs and aims for both safety and increased independence. You collaborate with colleagues and other professionals but also take your own initiatives.

Social Care

Here you work with individuals with various disabilities (LSS) in the following locations:

Group Housing:

Here you work with individuals who need staff present around the clock. The individuals live in apartments clustered around a common area. Your tasks include assisting with personal care, daily tasks, and providing support in their activities and interests.

Service Housing:

Here you work with individuals who can manage some of their daily lives independently but need support as needed. The individuals live in their own apartments and have access to shared services. You assist with daily tasks such as cooking, laundry, and care, as well as support in leisure interests and activities.

Social Psychiatry:

In social psychiatry, you support individuals with various psychiatric conditions by motivating, creating structure, and strengthening their abilities. This may involve facilitating daily routines, cooking, cleaning, and laundry, as well as accompanying them to activities or meetings. You may also need to provide support during times of anxiety or other emotional challenges.

The role also includes

When you work as a summer substitute in our operations, varied working hours are included. Some days you start early in the morning, while other days you may start later in the day and finish later in the evening. Our operations need staff around the clock, so weekend work is also included. We also need those interested in working awake nights and sleeping on-call within our operations. In most of our units within social care, you need to be able to work both day, evening, and night. If you are to work in elderly care, you need to be able to work either day and evening or night. When you work during evenings, weekends, and nights, you receive extra compensation on your hourly wage for inconvenient working hours, called Ob-compensation.

The work also includes some administrative tasks in the form of documentation of the residents' interventions. This is done digitally. In Finspång municipality, we apply a smoke-free working time.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and has an interest in helping others. You collaborate well with colleagues, are calm and stable, have self-awareness, and show personal maturity in your work. Relevant education, such as a care assistant or nursing assistant, is meritorious but not a requirement.

Requirements for the position:

• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You have good computer skills and familiarity with computers.
• You are at least 18 years old before employment begins.

This is necessary for you to be able to perform tasks according to LSS, SoL, and delegated tasks according to HSL.

A B driver's license, relevant education, and experience in care and support are meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
