Your Workplace

The ambulance service in Värmland is county-wide with ambulances located in twelve locations. We are a suitably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the whole picture and influence.

For the summer of 2026, we are looking for new staff for the ambulance station in Säffle. Summer temporary positions may lead to permanent employment.

Job Description

The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of sick and injured individuals in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that patients receive proper care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who knows the next step in the care chain.

Work shifts will occur both day and night.

Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and the competence of our staff. We want to drive healthcare forward together with our employees. We strive for a good working environment with stimulating tasks and an individually tailored onboarding process. All new hires undergo a 7-week introduction and position training.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a paramedic or licensed nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good teamwork skills. A B driver's license is required, along with at least 3 years of driving experience. C1/C driver's license is an advantage.

Before any employment, you must complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

On Tuesday, December 9, a full day will be held in Karlstad for interviews and work tests. If you are considered for the position, you will be invited to this day in a separate email. It is desirable that you bring a certificate proving you can swim 200 meters.
