Your Workplace

The ambulance service in Värmland is county-wide with ambulances located in twelve towns. We are a moderately sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the big picture and have an impact.

For the summer of 2026, we are seeking new employees for the ambulance station in Säffle. Summer temporary positions may transition into permanent roles.

Your Responsibilities

The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of sick and injured individuals in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that the patient receives proper care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who knows the next step in the care chain.

Work shifts will occur both day and night.

Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and our employees' competencies. We aim to advance healthcare together with our employees. We strive for a good working environment with stimulating tasks and an individually tailored onboarding process. All new hires undergo a 7-week introduction and position training.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a trained ambulance care provider with priority 1 certification. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good teamwork skills. A B driver's license and C1/C driver's license are required with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Before any potential employment, you must complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

On Tuesday, December 9, a full day will be held for interviews and work tests. For this day, it is desirable that you bring proof that you can swim 200 meters and an extract from the criminal record.
