Your workplace

The ambulance service in Värmland is county-wide with ambulances located in twelve locations. We are a suitably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the whole picture and be involved in influencing it.

For the summer of 2026, we are looking for new employees for the ambulance station in Arvika. Summer positions may lead to permanent employment.

Your tasks

The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of sick and injured individuals in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that the patient receives good care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who knows the next step in the care chain.

Work shifts will be both day and night.

Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and the competence of our staff. We want to drive healthcare forward together with our employees. We strive for a good working environment with stimulating tasks and an individually tailored onboarding process. All new employees undergo a 7-week introductory and position training.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are a trained ambulance nurse with priority 1 certification. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good teamwork skills. A B driver's license and C1/C driver's license are required with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Before any employment, you must complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

On Tuesday, December 9th, a full day of interviews and work tests will be conducted. On this day, it is desirable that you bring proof that you can swim 200 meters and an extract from the criminal record.
