What does the Shift Leader Front Office role entail?

Those working in Front Office are responsible for ensuring our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web who ensures that the guest is always the focus. You are the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to the details. You solve most issues and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied one. Responsibilities also include administrative work, safety work, and sales work. The work in Front Office involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You manage bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks related to guests and safety.

In the role of Shift Leader, in addition to being part of the operation, you have an overall overview of guest flow and, together with the team, prioritize tasks to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. You lead and delegate work and manage staffing during your shift. If necessary, you will train new employees at the hotel and also relieve the Front Office Manager of certain administrative tasks.

The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).

Your Competence

For this role, you need both the ability and the desire to work with operational leadership. You are confident in your leadership, possessing both integrity and a sales drive. To fit in the role, we also believe that you have a well-developed social skill and can handle many different things happening simultaneously. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests. You are a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.

You also have experience and knowledge in working with computers as a working tool.

Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage.
