About the operation:

In Vallentuna Municipality, we actively work on sustainable, healthy, and educational meals in our operations. We focus on climate-smart, locally produced food and collaborate with local producers and suppliers.

Together with other operations in Vallentuna Municipality, we develop the significance of school meals in relation to the educational mission in schools. This can take place in the form of “ExplorEat” with students and staff, meal councils, and offering students the opportunity to practice or make study visits in our operations.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone with a culinary education and several years of experience working with special diets. You should be accustomed to planning menus, be creative, and have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing.

As a chef with us, you will be part of a team where everyone is important, and together you are responsible for the quality of the food and providing our guests with a good and welcoming experience. Together with the kitchen manager, you will plan the practical work in the kitchen, where you will then be responsible for its implementation within the workgroup. Your responsibilities may include substituting for the kitchen manager in their absence.

• Cooking in hot and cold kitchens
• All related dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen
• Work in the dining room to serve and meet guests
• Ordering goods
• Planning and preparing special diets

Qualifications:

As a chef with us, you are driven and interested in cooking from scratch. You develop, improve, seek solutions, and knowledge on your own initiative. You thrive in a flexible working environment and enjoy meeting our diners of all ages. • You have relevant education in restaurant and large-scale catering. You are a trained chef in restaurant and large-scale catering.
• You have a very good knowledge of special diets.
• Good knowledge of hygiene and self-control.
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities and that you fit well into our team.
• You speak and write Swedish fluently.
