Do you want to help shape the future of production in medical technology – in a company where innovation and quality go hand in hand?
SciBase is growing rapidly and is now looking for a driven and communicative Operational Excellence Manager who wants to take responsibility for developing our production processes as we scale up to high-volume production.
With us, you will have a key role in an international medtech company with short decision-making paths, great engagement, and products that make a real difference to patients' health. This is a combined strategic and operational role where you will influence future production strategies and drive improvement projects on the floor.
Production takes place in-house in Uppsala and includes several process steps – from machining and assembly to testing and inspection.
About the role
As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will be a key person in our continued development. You will be responsible for driving and supporting Lean and improvement initiatives, as well as leading process development projects related to automation and industrialization. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Production Manager, and teams to identify opportunities, collect and analyze data, and translate insights into concrete improvements.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Analyze production flows from a Lean perspective and drive improvement initiatives.
- Lead process development projects within automation and industrialization.
- Conduct strategic analyses, for example, before in-house vs outsourcing decisions.
- Participate in the design of our facilities for optimal material and production flow.
- Ensure that processes meet requirements according to ISO 13485 and GMP.
- Actively contribute to the Operations management team and SciBase's continued development journey.
About you
We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a strong drive for improvement and a positive, down-to-earth attitude. You thrive equally well in strategic discussions as in the production environment and have the ability to turn analyses into real results.
We believe you have:
- At least 10 years of experience in production and Lean work.
- Experience in leading and driving projects.
- Technical knowledge, preferably a master's degree in engineering or equivalent background.
- Experience from regulated industries, such as medical technology, electronics, or Life Science.
- Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
We value personal qualities such as collaboration skills, initiative, structure, and perseverance.
What we offer you
At SciBase, you will be part of an ambitious and engaged team where your contribution truly makes a difference.
Does this sound like the right role for you?
Submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than October 9 – we look forward to hearing from you!
