Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist with us, you will meet patients with various needs together with competent colleagues. The work consists of standard occupational therapy tasks such as ADL assessment, training, assistive device management, and planning for discharge.

Supervision of students is included in the work. The documentation system we use is Cosmic.

You will work alongside a physiotherapist as part of the department's team. There are also colleagues in the palliative unit and rehabilitation unit in Sala to collaborate with.

We are a department under construction, which means you are expected to contribute to the development of the operations.

If necessary, for example, during absences or holiday periods, the work may also be assigned to the palliative unit or rehabilitation unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist, preferably with experience in the field. If you have previous experience working in similar regional operations, it is an advantage. Since you need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. Because the work may be performed at another location, a B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

In the Primary Care Department, we work in teams and have close collaboration with the municipality and care neighbors within the region, which means we have high demands for good collaboration skills, the ability to see the whole picture, and the ability to communicate clearly. Our patients are elderly with multiple illnesses, and you are expected to be accommodating and empathetic in your approach. Since we are a department under construction, we see that you are a person who thrives in and wants to be involved in development and change work. The work can change rapidly in various ways, so you need to be flexible and able to maintain your calm and focus in stressful situations. Furthermore, you are expected to have a good ability to structure your work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.
