Are you ready to step into a leadership role and ensure quality and continuity in an important municipal operation? We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for an exciting interim assignment where you will have the opportunity to drive, develop, and support the finance function during a transition period.

As an interim Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the accounting unit with a focus on stability, efficiency, and good accounting practices. You will play a central role in ensuring accurate reporting and closing of accounts, as well as supporting the operations in financial matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting unit with budget, operational, and personnel responsibility (13 employees)
• Coordinate the municipality's accounting, closing of accounts, annual report, and reporting
• Ensure that accounting complies with applicable laws, regulations, and good accounting practices
• Drive and develop processes related to financial systems and digitalization
• Provide support and advice to operations on accounting issues
• Collaborate with other departments, companies, auditors, and external stakeholders

Mandatory requirements

• Academic degree in accounting or other relevant education
• Several years of leadership experience – you are communicative and structured
• Documented experience in qualified accounting work within the public sector
• Experience in coordinating closing of accounts
• Familiarity with systems and quick to adapt to new IT systems
