ValueOne is looking for a Project Buyer for a long-term consulting assignment at a manufacturing company in Östergötland. The assignment is to be filled as soon as possible.
ValueOne specializes in Supply Chain Management – purchasing and logistics. In the role of Project Buyer, you will be responsible for your own supplier base and act as the spider in the web within the supply chain. You will have many points of contact, both internally and externally, and work according to established routines while managing urgent matters and contributing to problem-solving. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure good purchasing quality based on the needs of the business and drive continuous improvements in the supply chain.
You will be part of a team with ten buyers and a purchasing planner. The group collaborates closely with other functions.
Main responsibilities:
- Negotiate project-specific purchase orders according to agreed terms and price lists
- Ensure compliance with the company's purchasing policy and guidelines
- Develop and formalize supplier communication
- Follow up on suppliers' delivery precision
- Collaborate with colleagues on purchasing-related tasks
- Identify and drive improvement initiatives within the supply chain
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Communicate any delivery issues that affect the business
- Actively participate in the company's digitalization journey
To succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in purchasing, preferably within the manufacturing industry, as well as a good ability to build positive and effective relationships with both colleagues and suppliers. You are communicative, have good negotiation skills, and are used to influencing and collaborating. Your analytical and problem-solving skills are well-developed, you are structured, and can prioritize your tasks. Commercial and financial understanding is important for success in the role, as well as the ability to adapt to different business needs. Experience with SAP is an advantage. The role further requires that you express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
