Job Description
Do you want to be part of building something from the ground up? We are now establishing Sigma Technology Engineering – a new business area within Sigma Technology Group focusing on supporting and leading roles in technology, systems, and supply chain.
We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference, both for our clients and internally. We seek individuals who appreciate the idea of being involved from the beginning in a strong context with great future ambitions. We are looking for those who want to develop not only in an exciting assignment but also help shape the culture and set the direction for Sigma Technology Engineering.
Right now, we are seeking new colleagues who want to take on the role of purchaser!
We will employ you as a consultant and based on your skills and focus, we will match you with assignments at one of our many clients.
We are looking for both those who want to work strategically with supplier selection, contract negotiations, and long-term purchasing development – and those who thrive best in an operational role focusing on order placement, delivery monitoring, and daily flow. Our assignments can be performed either on-site with the client or together with other Sigma colleagues at one of our centrally located offices.
Basic Qualifications
We believe you fit the role if you:
- Have an interest in business with a good understanding of logistics processes and supplier collaborations.
- Have a post-secondary education in logistics, purchasing, economics, or engineering.
- Are curious, communicative, and unpretentious – and enjoy having many points of contact, both internally and externally.
- Find it easy to express yourself in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English.
- Work in a structured, careful, and methodical way, even in a fast-paced environment.
- Are driven and proactive. You are eager to take your own initiatives to find smart solutions and create value.
We work closely with our clients, and a B driver's license is a prerequisite.
Personal Skills, Attributes, Experience
Preferred Experiences:
- Experience in purchasing or similar roles with many points of contact, both internally and externally.
- Previous work in project form, preferably in collaboration with other departments such as production, logistics, or finance.
- Familiarity with managing multiple parallel supplier relationships and negotiations.
- Experience working in business systems or purchasing tools (e.g., SAP, IFS, Visma, Mercell, or similar).
- Experience from manufacturing industry, technology, or logistics-intensive operations is a plus.
