STENHAMRA GROUP HOUSING is located in a residential area close to forests, nature trails, and swimming areas. There are five apartments with a common area, garden, and a lovely terrace. The residents here primarily have autism and intellectual disabilities, and our task is to provide individually tailored support and services so they have the same opportunities as others to live, reside, and participate in society.

Job Description

To succeed, you need to be confident in yourself and your professional role. Together with you, we want to drive the work forward. We are now looking for a support assistant with strong commitment and knowledge about autism and clear pedagogical methods.

In your role as a support assistant, you will provide pedagogical support and work to create structure, security, and predictability in the individuals' daily lives. The work is based on a low-arousal approach and the belief that people do the right thing if they can. Work takes place in the individuals' apartments and in activities out in the community. In addition to providing support and services to the residents of the unit, you will collaborate with their networks and relatives. You will have close cooperation with the unit's work leader and support pedagogues as well as the municipality's health and medical care team. Care-related tasks may occur.

We are now expanding our staff and looking for someone with a structured and pedagogical approach. You have experience working with individuals with autism, clear pedagogical methods, and low-arousal responses. Experience with Alternative Communication (AAC) is an advantage. You are calm, secure, and stable as a person. You have the willingness to continuously evaluate and develop work methods together with your colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and are accustomed to documenting your work.

Transportation: You can easily reach Stenhamra by bus from Brommaplan or Ekerö center. There are several buses to Ekerö from Brommaplan, a ferry from Slagsta, and a commuter boat from City Hall.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • completed upper secondary education in Health and Care, Child and Leisure, or another relevant education that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation according to LSS and HSL
  • experience working with individuals with autism.

You are clear, pedagogical, and driven by helping individuals grow and develop. As a person, you are structured and can independently plan your work. You are unpretentious and find it easy to collaborate. You have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to working with people. You are responsible, enjoy working in a team, support your colleagues, and always have the individual's best interests at heart in your work.

A driver's license is desirable.
