We are looking for a specialist physician in coagulation

We are looking for someone with experience and/or interest in coagulation, focusing on thromboembolic and bleeding disorders.

The Acute Internal Medicine Clinic (AIM) is a place where clinical practice, education, and research go hand in hand – with a focus on quality, development, and learning in everyday life. Here, there are good opportunities to conduct and develop research in the field of coagulation, both in collaboration with the university and through your own projects.

Our offer

This is a unique opportunity to be part of developing a new clinic while deepening your expertise in a highly specialized area. AIM is in an exciting phase where work methods, culture, and structure are being shaped together – and where your competence makes a real difference.

  • Flexibility in the position – work entirely in the coagulation clinic during office hours, or combine with clinical work on the ward or MIMA.
  • Opportunity for on-call or backup assignments based on experience and interest.
  • Development opportunities in research, education, and improvement work in an academic environment.
  • A cohesive mission where clinic, education, and research collaborate for patient benefit and knowledge development.
  • A work environment characterized by trust, participation, and collegial support, with a focus on learning and long-term sustainability.

With us, you will use and further develop your specialist knowledge in an environment that encourages engagement, reflection, and innovation.

The Acute Internal Medicine Clinic (AIM) is a newly established clinic at the university hospital in Linköping. Here, the acute internal medicine care is gathered – the ward within acute internal medicine (B172), the medical intermediate care unit (MIMA), and the coagulation clinic – under a common mission: to strengthen and develop broad internal medicine.

At the coagulation clinic, we provide specialized care for patients with thromboembolic and bleeding disorders. We offer both investigation, treatment, and follow-up, and serve as regional expert support in the field.

At MIMA, our medical intermediate care, patients who are too ill for a regular ward but do not require intensive care are cared for – a level of care where advanced medical competence meets close teamwork.

On the ward within acute internal medicine, we encounter a broad spectrum of internal medicine conditions, often with high complexity.

Here you can read about our career ladder for physicians and also about your benefits with us.

Job description
