Job Description

At the surgical reception, nurses, nursing assistants, administrative staff, and doctors work within the various sections. As a nurse/stoma therapist, you have your own reception for patients who are to receive or have received a stoma. You also meet patients with complicated wound dressings and enterocutaneous fistulas. The patient group is varied in terms of both age and diagnosis. In your work, you have a lot of contact with patients both by phone and during physical visits to the reception.

In addition to reception work, consultations are made in the departments throughout the hospital regarding stomas and certain wounds, and you also have an advisory function towards home care, health centers, and home care/special housing. The stoma reception also conducts training on stoma and certain wound care in departments and in nursing education.

The work at the stoma reception is independent, and you have a lot of personal responsibility, but it also involves collaboration with both nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors in other units regarding the planning for patients.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with experience in the field and are used to making your own assessments. Further education in surgery or if you are a stoma therapist is meritorious.

You are engaged and have a great interest in working person-centered and can collaborate with different professions for the patient's best.

Employment and Application

The working hours are scheduled during the day from Monday to Friday. The position may begin with a 6-month probationary period. Remember to attach a copy of your diploma or license with your application.
