We are now looking for summer substitutes for home care who want to make a difference during the summer.

The home care service in Söderköping is an engaged and welcoming team where community and joy at work are at the center. Here you will have a meaningful job with varied tasks and close contact with people.

Imagine starting your workday with a bike ride along the Göta Canal or driving out to our beautiful outskirts – and being greeted by smiles from both colleagues and customers. We work together towards the same goal: to provide good and safe care.

You will receive an introduction, support from experienced colleagues, and valuable work experience in care and support.

After the summer, there is an opportunity for continued employment within home care, both as a substitute and through temporary positions, depending on the needs of the service.

Job Description

As a summer substitute in home care, you will work to support our customers in their own homes. The tasks are varied and may include:

• Personal care
• Practical tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
• Social support and conversation
• Basic health care tasks, such as medication management, insulin, and wound care
• Documentation in our digital systems

Söderköping's home care is a keyless operation. We work in the Lifecare operational system and use the LMO app for daily planning.

Working hours vary and may include days, evenings, and weekends. You will sometimes work independently and sometimes together with a colleague, both in central Söderköping and in the outskirts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Interest in working in elderly care
• Have a flexible and responsible approach
• Enjoy working both independently and in a team
• Show empathy, engagement, and a professional demeanor
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have some computer and mobile phone skills

A driving license is an advantage but not a requirement. In home care, we use both cars and bicycles.

Previous experience in elderly care or care education is an advantage, but not a requirement – personal suitability is the most important.

To work in elderly care, you need to present a valid extract from the criminal record. The extract must be ordered by you personally, and the original must be shown in connection with employment.
