Our programs are based on the long-standing craft tradition that has made Tibro one of Sweden's furniture centers. We are now looking for a part-time/full-time teacher in Upholstery.

Tibro Hantverksakademi offers eight higher vocational education programs in areas such as Decorative Painting, Gilding, Furniture Restoration, Upholstery, Special Carpentry, Wood Carving, Woodworking, and Project Management in the furniture and interior design industry. We also offer courses and corporate training in all our craft areas. Through close collaboration with the business community, we develop our programs and projects to meet the labor market's need for new skills.

The Assignment
As a teacher in upholstery, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting the students' development based on the curriculum. The documentation is used as a basis for assessment and grading of both practical and theoretical components, with a focus on the practical.

You will teach students from other programs at the school, as knowledge exchange is part of our working method. The job also includes maintenance of the school's premises and machines, material orders, and participation in the planning and execution of exhibitions and fairs.

In the upholstery program, you will be responsible, together with a colleague, for 20 students distributed over two academic years. We work in teams and value collaboration where we develop our programs together.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone with craft experience and knowledge of both traditional and modern techniques in upholstery. You have experience in sewing and textile work, as well as good knowledge of upholstery materials, both modern and traditional.

As a person, you are attentive and have the ability to adapt teaching to the individual needs and conditions of the students. Formal pedagogical training is not a requirement, as we primarily value your craft skills.

You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and have a genuine interest in problem-solving within upholstery. The ability to convey knowledge in a pedagogical and inspiring manner is crucial. We are looking for someone with an inclusive approach who treats everyone with respect, openness, and understanding, regardless of background or experience.

You can work independently towards common goals and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, both in upholstery and other programs.

Employment Type
Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The position is part-time/full-time 60–100%. Start date 2026-02-02 or by agreement.
