Description

Are you a psychologist looking for a varied and educational job with children and adolescents? Then you are welcome to apply to Habiliteringen in Uddevalla! We are currently seeking a licensed psychologist for a permanent position at 100%.

The work is directed towards patients in Uddevalla, but if desired, placement in Vänersborg may be relevant part of the time. You will be part of a psychologist group with experienced colleagues. You will receive structured introduction with mentorship, collegial supervision, and professional development alongside other psychologists within Habilitering & Hälsa. The work is exciting, challenging, and varied.

The work is based on the needs of the child and family and involves both assessment and treatment work as well as consultation and advice to individuals in the child's environment. The psychologist also has an important task in providing information about and helping the patient increase their knowledge about their disability. We place great emphasis on adapting our contact with our patients by using structure, visual support, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

The work is carried out in close collaboration with preschools/schools, primary care, and regional care. Interventions are provided individually or in groups, at our reception in Uddevalla or through digital care meetings. You will collaborate in a team with speech therapists, special educators, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pediatric nurses. Dietitians and doctors are also available.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist who wants to help develop our reception and operations. If you have experience working with patients belonging to habilitation's target groups, we see this as a merit. Other qualifications include an interest in neuropsychology, understanding the consequences of cognitive impairments in daily life, and competence and experience in working with CBT/DBT. It is also advantageous to have worked in a cross-professional team.

You have a good ability to organize and structure your work and see the value in collaborating with other professionals in the team. You have a pronounced patient focus that is applied in collaboration with the patient in choosing assessment and treatment methods. You work based on scientifically proven methods and clinical experience and have a good ability to organize and structure your patient work.

Since the work involves collaborating with parents, various professionals, and other healthcare providers, there are high demands for social competence and collaboration skills. The work involves travel, which makes a B driver's license a requirement.
