The Building and Environmental Administration works on behalf of the Building Committee and the Environmental Committee. Our goal is to be the authority we ourselves want to meet, to make it easy to do the right thing, and to provide the best possible service. About 60 people work in the administration, led by a head of administration and five unit managers. We all work together to make a difference for residents and businesses in Mölndal. The administration is located in the city hall in Mölndal's city center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our team and work as an environmental inspector focusing on individual sewage systems.

It is a varied job, and as an environmental inspector with us, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and following up on inspections, handling cases, and supervision according to the Environmental Code, with a particular focus on individual sewage systems. An important part of the job is to provide advice and information to property owners and the public.

You are also expected to participate in our work with continuous improvements and business development, where we have a particular focus on digitalization and sustainability.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a relevant university degree in the field of environmental and health protection. You have good knowledge of environmental legislation, administrative legislation, and supervision within the Environmental Code area.

Experience in supervision and assessment according to the Environmental Code or previous work as an environmental inspector is a requirement. It is advantageous if you have worked with individual sewage systems.

To succeed in this role, you need to be efficient and responsible with a good ability to plan and prioritize. You have high social competence and a professional approach that creates trust and respect in your interactions with both colleagues and the public.

You find it easy to collaborate and actively contribute to a good working environment. Since we work with authority exercise, it is important that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing and that you have the ability to make objective and factual assessments, set clear requirements, and make decisions.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Since the job involves travel, a B driver's license is required.
