Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a Site Manager for our Construction Division at Svevia. At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility. Are you curious about Svevia as your next employer? Do you want to share the road with us?
We are now seeking a site manager who wants to be part of working on larger land and infrastructure projects within the road, water, and energy sectors. We are looking for a colleague who either has experience in the role of site manager or someone who currently sees themselves as a driven professional with a few years of experience, who wants to take the step into the role of site manager. We see an expanding market in the region and are building an organization for the future. Our projects cover a broader range in terms of project types and variations in time and scope.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the work on-site to ensure that the contract progresses according to plan, as well as creating and following up on schedules. An important part is to conduct qualitative work preparations together with your team and hold regular meetings with internal employees and subcontractors. A Site Manager at Svevia is accustomed to handling invoice reviews, diaries, notifications, and other quality documentation.
This role gives you the opportunity to be an important part of our plan to expand geographically within the region.
Who are you?
To be successful in your role, we see it as a given that you have experience in construction and road projects and can work independently. You have a few years of experience in a similar role or feel ready to step from a professional role into a leadership position.
As a person, you are proactive, solve problems, and tackle the challenges and changes that arise in daily work. You gain energy from taking responsibility and are happy to contribute ideas and have the ability to create profitable business opportunities. You are motivated and grow by working with problem-solving and planning, and you do this with order and structure.
Leadership is and will always remain an important issue for us! We believe in developing leadership where you, as a leader, bring out the best in your colleagues and contribute to building a strong and healthy team.
We consider it an advantage if you have experience with simpler measurements and setting out.
We expect you to communicate well in writing and speaking in Swedish, have computer skills, and hold a B driver's license.
The role is based in Gothenburg, but you will work on projects in other parts of our geographical area, with a focus on locations north of Gothenburg.
Travel may occur in the position.
A part of something bigger
With well-coordinated teams, we are building Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and earth. And we do this by constructing roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, state, and municipalities. In addition, we break new ground and pave the way for water networks, wind farms, and development areas. We also have specialized units within foundation work and land remediation. Together with Svevia's other operations within road maintenance and paving, you will become an important cog in a larger societal machinery. This opens up new opportunities for innovation and problem-solving.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to influence and make your voice heard.
We have career paths for those who want to become managers and leaders or want to develop in their existing professional roles. It is as a team that we create success. That is how we do business and generate results. That is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
