Our client operates in the defense industry and is a leader in security, defense, and innovation. We are now looking for a software engineer for the unit that focuses on software used on ships and operator stations. In this role, you will play a central part in a fast-paced department with many points of contact, while also contributing to a safer society.

As a software engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that pipeline and build processes work for the entire software organization, including integration with various projects and platforms. You will work on modernizing and automating test and build processes, as well as maintaining and developing tools used in the cloud and locally.

The role of software engineer is very important as it is the foundation for what the software teams can achieve. You will provide service to developers so they can develop products and have a stable platform for automation in the cloud. This, in turn, strengthens nations in their security efforts.

Your skills

We are looking for someone who is social and has good communication skills, as the role is central and involves a lot of contact with other teams and departments. Furthermore, we see that a humble attitude is important for success in the role. You should be able to contribute your own ideas but also be receptive and learn from the existing skills of the team.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• DevOps experience and have worked in similar teams and environments with operation, maintenance, and improvement of pipelines and build systems.

• Experience working with automation and CI/CD, preferably both using and improving existing frameworks and solutions.

• Practical experience with Jenkins and pipeline management.

• Ability to read, troubleshoot, and write scripts in Bash, Python, and/or Go.

• Experience with Docker and container technology at the user level.

• Ability to configure and manage servers after they have been delivered, including requirements specification and customization for business needs.

• Swedish and English in spoken and written form.
