FPGA Developer (VHDL/C++) for Innovative Defense Company

Do you want to contribute to strengthening Sweden's defense capability through technically advanced development? We are now looking for several FPGA developers with 3-5 years of experience for one of the country's leading players in the defense and security industry.

About the Role

In this role, you will be part of an embedded team where you work closely with hardware, processors, and FPGAs. The focus is on firmware development in VHDL, but also includes elements of software development in C++. You will have the opportunity to participate in the entire chain from design and testing to integration and troubleshooting in complex systems with a high technical level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control logic in FPGAs (primarily firmware in VHDL, sometimes C++).

• Work with calibration functions in both FW and SW.

• Develop and manage high-speed links.

• Perform integration and testing in advanced lab environments.

• Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize existing and new features.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and wants to grow in a role where precision and technical quality are crucial. You have:

• Good understanding of FPGA architecture and functionality.

• Several years of experience in VHDL programming (3–5 years or more).

• Knowledge of C++ is a plus.

• Interest in integration, testing, and problem-solving.

About the Employment

• This is a consulting assignment for 12 months with good opportunities for transition to the client's own organization.

• The work may involve handling classified defense information, which requires a security clearance at RK3 level.

• Swedish citizenship is required.
