We are looking for a qualified special education teacher who wants to work with us at Järva VIP adapted primary and secondary school in Sollentuna/Rotebro for our students studying according to subject area orientation.

Your role According to our educational framework, we work with the individual at the center. In the role of special education teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching and the students' learning. It is also important to create a close collaboration with the guardians of the students and other important people in the students' network.

As a special education teacher with us, you are pedagogically responsible for a small class and lead the daily work for the staff working with you in the class. The work includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching and the students' learning.

You participate in continuous teacher meetings, hold class meetings for your own work team, and participate in student health meetings. You take an active role and develop the operations together with the entire school's work team.

About Järva VIP Järva VIP is a small school in Sollentuna, north of Stockholm, with fantastic nature around the corner and close to public transport. We offer education within adapted primary school (students study subject areas) as well as adapted secondary school (individual program). Your experience and knowledge We are looking for someone with great enthusiasm and knowledge of special education who helps students grow and learn. You have a special education degree, with a focus on intellectual disabilities, and experience working with children with disabilities. 

As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and flexible. You have a clear and low-arousal approach. You have the ability to see students' different needs and strengths and to steer and follow up on the operations based on the company's educational goals, vision, and financial frameworks. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For us, competence is just as much about potential, values, and motivation as it is about education, experience, and factual knowledge. You see students' opportunities to acquire new knowledge as something natural and focus on possibilities rather than obstacles.

We wish that you have extensive computer and documentation skills. Good knowledge of Swedish is a requirement as our students are in great need of clear communication.
