The person in need of assistance is a man aged 40+ who has multiple disabilities, is completely wheelchair-bound, and cannot communicate verbally. He requires help with all aspects of daily living, including hygiene, dressing, feeding, wound care, etc.

The ideal candidate should be attentive to the user's needs and independently understand what needs to be done beyond the predetermined tasks, which can sometimes take up the entire shift, while at other times there may be plenty of time left. You should be able to perform your duties carefully and diligently with great patience.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Cantonese, alternatively Swedish
• Not afraid of bodily fluids
• Non-smoker and no pets at home, as the entire family is allergic
• Able to handle some heavier lifting

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in care and support (or healthcare)
• Previous experience with multiple disabilities

Job Scope

The position is part-time, with working hours primarily scheduled on weekdays between 9 AM - 12 PM or 3 PM - 5 PM. There is also an opportunity to work double weekend shifts if needed. The position can be conveniently combined with studies, other work, or leisure activities. We wish for you to work regularly 5 shifts a week either in the morning or afternoon. Since personal assistance is a service where the user must feel complete trust in the assistant and it involves personal suitability, we apply a 3-month probationary period.

If you have extensive experience and can speak Cantonese but cannot work as many shifts (or at the mentioned times), but can maintain a regular schedule, you are also welcome to apply for a part-time position.
