NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers a varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

The inpatient unit of the Women's Clinic for gynecology and maternity care now needs to expand the team with an assistant nurse.

At the Women's Clinic NÄL, 260 employees work with gynecological and obstetric care. The clinic's inpatient and outpatient care closely collaborates with each other regarding both facilities and cross-border work. Our common vision is “Together for good care and health”. The Women's Clinic at NÄL, with its 2,600 deliveries/year, is the sixth largest women's clinic in Sweden.

The inpatient unit for gynecology and maternity care has a total of 24 care places. The unit also includes an oncological gynecology clinic and an emergency gynecology department. Those of us working in the unit consist of midwives, nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, and cultural interpreters.

The workgroup is diverse in terms of age, ethnicity, and professional experience. In our work, we utilize the breadth of knowledge and experience that we collectively have - Together we become the team that wants to create value for our patients.

About the position

The position mainly involves working with inpatients in maternity and gynecological care.

The position also includes rotation to one of our other units within the Women's Clinic, such as the delivery ward, clinic for pregnant and newly delivered women, or gynecological clinic.

The work includes weekend shifts, and working hours can be scheduled for both day and night.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse. Previous experience in women's healthcare is an advantage. Additional merit is in-depth knowledge of breastfeeding or gynecological cancer care.

We are looking for you who are innovative and eager to drive improvement work that moves the organization forward. As a person, you are flexible, meticulous, work safely for patients, and have a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
