Nurse for the Staffing Unit at Visby Hospital
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
HSF Staffing
Visby Hospital is Gotland's only hospital and includes units for both emergency and planned care such as emergency reception and specialties in medicine, surgery, cardiology, infection, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics, surgery, and intensive care.
Psychiatry is also part of the hospital's offerings but is geographically separate from the hospital in its own premises.
The island's location requires the resources of a large hospital while offering the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. Within healthcare in Gotland, close collaborations are quickly established, and decision-making paths are short, creating flexibility for both patients and staff. Upon employment, we are eager for you to feel welcome; your development is our success, and we offer you good opportunities for professional development. You will gain both depth and breadth in your area of expertise as Visby Hospital, being the only acute hospital on the island, handles all of the island's patients.
The mission of the staffing unit is to staff short-term vacancies within the healthcare's acute operations, care departments, and some clinics as needed for substitutes.
We are now looking for nurses for hourly employment through the staffing unit's substitute pool.
If you value freedom, flexibility, and variety, working in the substitute pool is for you. Here you have the opportunity to work both day and night, weekdays and weekends, all year round, where we schedule each shift individually based on your available time in our booking system Medvind.
We would like you to be available in several different units. Since the offerings and needs span many different units and specialties, there are great opportunities to develop, learn new things, and meet people in many different life situations. The more units you build your breadth with, the better your desired working hours and availability can be matched with the needs of the operations.
Your Responsibilities
In the role of an hourly employed nurse with us, you will have a unique opportunity to care for patients across several different levels of care and medical specialties, primarily in inpatient departments but also within other units in healthcare. You choose whether you are interested in two or more units, and we will tailor your introduction based on your experiences and needs.
You will perform standard nursing tasks in healthcare depending on the operational focus.
Who Are You?
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You are confident in your professional role, leadership, and experience. You have a positive attitude, are flexible and service-oriented with good collaboration skills and a strong commitment to your work. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with their knowledge and energy, where the ability to quickly adapt between pace and level of care is a central part. In your professional role, you are already a role model for other colleagues and find it easy to collaborate for the best care of the patient. If you also have a positive mindset and curiosity for your own learning, you are the right person for us.
Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement.
We place great importance on personal suitability and apply ongoing selection, warmly welcome your application today!
Before a hiring decision, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
