Are you ready for an exciting challenge and want to be part of something unique from the very beginning? We are looking for a sous chef for our new Elite Hotel Frost in Kiruna, opening in spring 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a creative and inspiring environment and put your mark on the hotel's dining experience.
Elite Hotel Frost will offer several unique dining concepts, including our restaurant at Elite HotelFrost, the gastropub The Bishops Arms, a rooftop bar with stunning views, and Vana Spa. As a sous chef, you will play a key role in developing and ensuring the highest quality in the kitchen.
About the role As a sous chef, you are the right hand of the head chef and responsible for leading and organizing the daily work in the kitchen. You will work with both à la carte, buffets, and other dining experiences, contributing to providing our guests with a first-class experience.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching the kitchen team together with the head chef.
- Ensuring quality and creativity in cooking.
- Planning and preparing menus and dishes in collaboration with the head chef.
- Ensuring that hygiene and safety procedures are followed according to applicable laws and regulations.
- Contributing to developing and inspiring the team through training and daily guidance.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a similar role as sous chef or in a leadership position in the kitchen.
- Is passionate about cooking and has a high level of creativity.
- Is a natural leader who enjoys motivating and developing the team.
- Is flexible, responsible, and solution-oriented.
- Has good knowledge of kitchen economics and can work effectively with ingredient management and food waste.
- Is used to working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality under pressure.
