Job Description

As a diabetes nurse at Sachsska, you will work at our clinic with children and adolescents aged 0–20 years.

The majority of our patients have type 1 diabetes and are treated with insulin pumps and glucose sensors. We have a close collaboration with the care department, and each patient has a responsible nurse and a responsible doctor. The tasks are varied and include planned independent clinic visits, telephone advice, and education. We have a long-standing tradition of organizing highly appreciated camps for children and adolescents with diabetes, where staff from Sachsska participate.

We have a unique youth unit where we welcome adolescents aged 13-20 years. This means that we receive patients in a youth-friendly environment, considering their individual, psychological, social, and biological development.

Qualifications

You are a diabetes nurse or a specialist nurse in pediatrics, preferably with experience in diabetes care and/or outpatient work. As a person, you are stable and secure in your professional role. You are responsible and able to independently structure your work and take your own initiatives, and you have a drive to develop both yourself and the clinic's work. You enjoy working flexibly and creatively in collaboration with all professional categories; good cooperation is one of your strengths. Diabetes care is evolving rapidly, and you should be interested in technology and enjoy teaching both individually and in groups. You are curious, like to learn new things, contribute to driving the business forward, and foster a good atmosphere at the clinic.

The position is a temporary contract as one of our colleagues will be on parental leave in May. The temporary position is for just over a year with the possibility of a permanent position later. You will receive an introduction to pediatrics if you have not previously worked in pediatric care but have further training in diabetes.
