Then this might be the position for you! We are now looking for an experienced occupational therapist for Katarinagården's care and nursing home.

Katarinagården is a newly renovated care and nursing home centrally located in Södermalm, close to good transportation links. There is room for 55 care recipients with both somatic and dementia-related illnesses who need security and support in their daily lives. Katarinagården is part of Södermalm's care and nursing home unit, which is run independently. We also collaborate with other units under our own management; Kulltorp, Nytorgsgården, Magdalenagården, Hornskroken, and Bergsund. Together, Katarinagården and Kulltorp form the care and nursing home area 1.

Your role

You will conduct assessment and treatment work based on a rehabilitative approach and support and stimulate our residents in their daily lives.

The work includes assessing activity ability, training, and prescribing assistive devices. You will collaborate with the unit manager, nurse, physiotherapist, and other team members. Your pedagogical skills will be beneficial in collaboration with the physiotherapist in training/guiding care staff in rehabilitative, preventive, and health-promoting approaches, fall prevention, handling assistive devices, and training in transfer techniques.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for reporting risks and incidents in the care and nursing environment and taking measures to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.

You will be based at Katarinagården's care and nursing home but may also serve at Kulltorp's care and nursing home as needed.

We use the documentation system Vodok 2.0 and Parasol and work based on the care process.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with experience in elderly care. You also have training in prescribing assistive devices and experience in supervising and delegating staff. We seek someone with a good sense of quality, contributes to a positive atmosphere, takes responsibility, and has a good professional demeanor. The position requires good computer skills and proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience working with the documentation system Vodok 2.0
• training in BPSD, Palliative Care, Senior Alert.

Other

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A six-month probationary period may occur.
