About the position

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant on an as-needed basis for a man in his 30s with a muscle disease living in Växjö.

The client has a great interest in film, music, and sports. As a substitute, you will work during the absence of regular assistants, such as during vacations or illness.

To be considered for this position, you must have a manual driving license.

You need to be flexible with varying working hours on weekdays and weekends, day shifts, and sleeping on-call to be eligible for this position.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily routines
  • Helping with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals
  • Assisting with transfers. A permobile, lift, and shower chair are available, as well as a breathing mask at night

Varied working hours on weekdays and weekends:

  • 07:30 AM - 05:00 PM
  • 05:00 PM - 09:00 AM (3 hours on-call overnight)

About you

We believe that you, who are applying for this position, are a person who is passionate about working with people and can see to others' needs. You are calm and empathetic and understand the difference between mental and physical disabilities. Perhaps you have worked or are currently working as a personal assistant. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Manual B-driving license to be able to drive the client to work.
  • Swedish in speech and writing to document correctly
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Physically strong

Merits:

  • Experience in care and support, such as personal assistant 

Scope:  1 substitute as needed 

Start date: Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Start date in September.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you can present valid ID and submit a certificate of personal status and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download a certificate of personal status from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. 

To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
