At Attendo, we know that a meal is more than just nutrition; it is a moment of joy, community, and care. We are now looking for a dedicated chef for our new elderly care home Attendo Tunagården in Borlänge, with move-in scheduled for autumn 2025.

Welcome to Attendo Tunagården

Attendo Tunagården opened on September 1st and consists of 81 modern apartments in the scenic Tunaslätten. The residence is operated by Attendo on behalf of Borlänge municipality.

As part of our team, you will be involved from the start in shaping the kitchen, routines, and the entire dining experience together with your immediate supervisor and colleagues who value your skills and creativity. The kitchen is currently staffed with a kitchen manager.

Your role as a chef

In the role of chef, you are responsible for creating delicious, nutritious, and enjoyable meals every day. You prepare food from scratch based on the season, tradition, and customer preferences. You work independently in the kitchen but in close dialogue with care staff and the operations manager.

You are responsible for the entire process: • From ordering and receiving goods • To cooking and serving • To hygiene, routines, and documentation

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a culinary education or equivalent experience
• Is passionate about traditional home cooking and joy in food
• Understands the importance of meals in the daily lives of the elderly
• Is meticulous, positive, and responsible
• Thrives in collaboration with other professional groups
• Has good Swedish skills in speaking and writing, as well as computer proficiency. Experience with dietary systems like Matilda is a plus (meritorious)

About the recruitment process
