I am a 61-year-old man living in Upplands-Väsby with my family. I have a neurological condition and am looking for a personal assistant who can help me in my daily life. I use a wheelchair, so you will need to be my extended hands and legs. The tasks include everything from assistance during meals, hygiene, dressing and undressing, and household chores to enabling the assistance user to be a parent, spouse, work, engage in hobbies, socialize with friends, or accompany me on trips. Therefore, your workplace will be wherever I am.

I go abroad for rehabilitation every year, and it is expected that the assistants will accompany me on the trip.

I train for rehabilitation several times a week, and I need you as physical support. You need to be able to swim (join me in water aerobics) and cycle with me.

The position starts as a part-time employment as needed and during the absence of regular staff, but there is a possibility for a fixed schedule and degree of employment in the future. The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• The working hours for this client are distributed over morning, day, and evening, Mon-Sun.

About you The qualities I am looking for in you as an applicant are that you are proactive, empathetic, and responsible. It is important that you can work independently. It is also an advantage if you have previous experience working as an assistant and if you enjoy (and can or are willing to learn) cooking good food. As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being. We believe that you who are applying for this position are a person who is attentive, flexible, and cooperative. The most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as an applicant and the client. This can become decisive in the final selection. Requirements:

• Must be able to travel for work and be away for a few days,
• Must be able to cycle,
• Must be able to swim and participate in activities that involve swimming. 

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience in care and support, especially in personal assistance,
• Have an interest in cooking.
