Job Responsibilities

In the role of senior technician at Eltel, you will be involved in building, commissioning, and maintaining communication networks as well as other critical infrastructure. You will work in varying environments – from companies and authorities to private households – and be responsible for carrying out assigned tasks from start to finished reporting. The work involves troubleshooting, new installations, and commissioning of technical equipment, primarily within IP and LAN areas, such as routers, switches, and various customer installations. You will configure, measure, and function test new equipment to ensure that everything works according to requirements. The position also includes work with mobile phone solutions and, in some cases, fiber splicing and assignments in railway environments. Most of the work takes place indoors, but some tasks are performed outdoors.

The position includes on-call duty every seventh week with salary enhancement, and evening, night, and weekend work is common.

• Installation, configuration, and commissioning of technical equipment
• Troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems within IP and LAN networks
• Performing functional tests and documentation of the work
• Daily contact with both internal planners and customers to ensure quality and delivery

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• High school or post-secondary education in technology, electrical/telecommunications, or equivalent competence • Several years of experience in assembly, installation, and/or maintenance  • B driver's license • Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written To succeed in this role, we see that you are responsible and engaged in your work. You have a knack for taking initiative and possess good social skills, feeling comfortable with both internal and external contacts. It is important that you have an interest in helping others and the willingness to deliver good solutions. As a person, you should be attentive, accommodating, and meticulous.
