The Workplace

We are now looking for substitutes during the summer vacation within elderly care - who want to work to simplify, improve, help, and create a secure everyday life for people who need support. Here, there are opportunities to work as a nursing assistant or caregiver.

We would like you to be able to start working extra if needed already during the winter/spring.

The relevant operations are:

• The home care service in Nordmaling Municipality
• The municipality's nursing home Strandbacken in central Nordmaling

Within these operations, both day, evening, weekend, and night shifts occur according to a schedule.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a nursing assistant/caregiver involves providing good care and support for our elderly and assisting them in their daily lives. You help our elderly with everyday tasks, activities, personal hygiene, and administer medication to those in need. Delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit are included, as well as ongoing documentation (such as measures, health status, and social status) in our current operational system.

About You

You who are applying need to be 18 years old, and we would like you to have work experience and/or education in health and care.

You should be interested in working with people and be reliable, stable, responsible, and have good empathetic skills. We also value good collaboration skills and flexibility. Personal qualities are highly valued.

In order to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Regarding home care, it is required that you have a Class B driver's license, and we would like you to have access to your own car.

Employment

Temporary position. Hourly wage. Employment levels vary. Start date by agreement.

This year's summer periods last for eight weeks, from June 16 to August 10 (vacation periods June 16 – July 13 and July 14 – August 10). We prioritize those who want to work both periods.

Summer Bonus

Summer substitutes who have signed up to work with us in the summer of 2025 during one or two vacation periods will be offered a summer bonus. If you work at least 70% during the vacation periods, a summer bonus of 4000 SEK per vacation period will be offered.

For those who are retired, we offer an additional 25% in salary for the time you go out and work. This applies to both single shifts and scheduled work.
