About the Workplace

The Technical Department is part of the Community Building Administration.

We are 18 people who investigate, design, and estimate construction work for streets, water and sewage systems, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and parks, as well as carry out a large part of the new construction work related to streets, roads, and utility networks, among others. We have a close collaboration between production and design, and we work together to maintain a good working environment and an inclusive approach towards each other.

We are now looking for a civil engineer who will also take on a leadership role in our production unit, offering a varied job in a positive and development-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to take on the challenge of leading and executing the annual and long-term needs for new construction and water and sewage operations/maintenance.

We often solve problems by collaborating as a group, where the collective knowledge leads to solutions that are both economically viable and environmentally optimal. This means that in this role, you will function as a team leader and provide technical support. On-call duty is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a technical university education focused on the relevant field of work. Alternatively, you may have gained equivalent experience and knowledge through several years of work in the field.

As a person, you are engaged, enjoy taking responsibility, and working independently. The position requires you to be driven, structured, and development-oriented. You should be unpretentious, attentive, service-oriented, and have a good ability to collaborate. The role involves contact with subscribers, authorities, contractors, and landowners. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good computer skills.

A valid driver's license (B) is required, and knowledge of surveying/measurement and CAD skills are advantageous.

Conditions

The position is classified in security class 3, and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted upon hiring. This requires Swedish citizenship.
