Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a road worker for our operational area in Ätradalen. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your mission as a road worker

In the role of a professional employee, your main task is to inspect the road network in the area and report any deficiencies, and then address them. We work with operational and maintenance-related tasks, summer maintenance, and winter road management. In addition, you will work on smaller construction projects. The position includes summer and winter preparedness with the responsibility to call out salt trucks and plowing units. During preparedness, you will take on a supervisory role and manage the work and communication with Svevia's subcontractors. In this position, you will be supported by close management and engaged colleagues.

The position is a fixed-term employment for 6 months with good chances of extension. You will report to the site manager. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.

Who are you?

To succeed in the role, we see it as a requirement that you have:

  • Driver's license B
  • A strong interest in working on the road and that you are open to on-call duty, both during the winter and summer seasons
  • Good computer skills and an interest in digital working methods and processes
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

We consider it highly meritorious if you have experience working in operations and maintenance previously, as well as if you have a C driver's license/YKB and/or if you have a relevant technical education suitable for the position.

Otherwise, your personality is the most important to us! We are looking for someone who has the ability to adapt to different situations and who enjoys varied workdays. You are driven by challenges and motivated to achieve set goals. Furthermore, you are a self-sufficient and solution-oriented person who is willing to take the initiative when needed. It is also important for the role to be a team player who can work effectively together with both colleagues and subcontractors.

Part of something bigger

Svevia is today Sweden's largest operational contractor. In operations and maintenance, we manage summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state's road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.

With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family traveling to the mountains. We ensure that the business community's freight transports reach their destination and keep streets, squares, and parks clean and tidy. Moreover, we protect lives on the road through our offerings in traffic arrangements.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where tangible results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snow plows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own work environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in your specific area or move on to a supervisory position. Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
