About Ekhaga Care and Nursing Home In Onsala, you will find Ekhaga's care and nursing home. Here, dedicated and knowledgeable staff work with the elderly who have been affected by somatic illness or dementia. Ekhaga is operated by Vardaga. • We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all of us who work here are trained in dementia and communication through Vardaga's Dementia Academy (https://www.vardaga.se/var-aldreomsorg/demens/). • We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg (https://www.vardaga.se/var-aldreomsorg/ung-omsorg-pa-vara-boenden/). This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to enhance the lives of our residents. • You will have a team leader who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operations. Becoming a team leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a care assistant. • Here we work with animals in care and regularly have visits from therapy dogs.

As a care assistant, you are incredibly important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to meet people.

You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.

Good computer skills and experience in documentation are also merits. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will support you and provide opportunities for growth.
