About the job

We see that you who are applying are interested in the breadth of general medicine and can envision a future in primary care. Your work is varied, as you will meet both children and the elderly in both planned and acute care. You will meet our patients both physically and digitally. It is important for us that care is patient-centered and occurs at the right level, as our patients have different needs and conditions.

The opportunity to influence your own work situation is significant. You will be offered regular supervision by a specialist in general medicine.

About the workplace

Oskarström health center is a cozy, family-oriented, and well-functioning health center with quality and reception in focus. The health center is located 18 km northeast of Halmstad and has a stimulating variety of patients, currently about 5100. You can easily reach us by public transport or car with access to free parking.

We are a rural health center, located in fresh premises, a well-functioning and stable unit with a well-known pleasant work climate. We have a very good cohesion, a complete team of engaged and competent colleagues consisting of about 24 employees.

For us, it is important to have flexible and close cooperation between professional groups to best help our patients. We care about a work environment where everyone can develop and feel pride in their own and our joint efforts.

The health center currently has a fixed medical staffing consisting of four doctors, three of whom are specialists in general medicine and one ST doctor. We often welcome AT doctors and doctors at other levels of their training. We have clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, rehabilitation, as well as psychotherapist, social worker, occupational therapist, and child health care.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a genuine interest in primary care and general medical work.
• Swedish medical license with approved knowledge of the Swedish language.
• completed or is soon to finish AT/BT training.
• previous work experience, preferably from a health center.
• perhaps you have started ST in another location or region?
• is communicative, responsible, and has good collaboration skills.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We currently work in the VAS journal system but will switch to Cosmic at the beginning of 2025. We offer flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work if needed. The health center is open weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm.
