Production Leader for the Operations Unit (DriftE)

The production section is now looking for a production leader who, together with colleagues, will lead the teams within the Operations Unit (DriftE).

Main Responsibilities

The teams within the Operations Unit work to ensure that our IT and telecommunications services are always available in the Armed Forces when needed. As a Production Leader, you have an overview of the entire production chain, and your role is to lead and follow up to ensure that the teams deliver together and meet the expectations set. The purpose of the Production Leader is to be a cohesive function by supporting processes, section managers, and teams. To work towards continuously improving our operations.

As a production leader, you will work operationally with production management, such as change requests, incidents, orders, and operational routines. We use agile methods and have ITIL as a framework (process-oriented working method). Collaboration is a significant part of the assignment, and you will support various parts of the production process, both within different functions and between different departments.

It is essential for a production leader to have the opportunity to develop their leadership and daily work, both coaching and supporting the teams. To work with a holistic perspective and communicate it further for an understanding of the operation as a whole.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Continuously develop processes and working methods.
• Lead teams.
• Production planning.
• Lead parts of the total production.

Qualifications

• Education in the IT field, or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent by the employer.
• Relevant work experience in IT management, IT operations, or equivalent.
• Understanding of creating and working with processes.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driving license for manual transmission vehicle.

Meritorious

• Project management training or equivalent competence.
• Experience working with the Armed Forces' systems.
• Experience with process-oriented working methods.
• Experience with agile working methods.
• Training/certification in ITIL.

About the Unit and Department

DriftE is one of 12 units within FMTIS and is responsible for acting as the Armed Forces' network operator, monitoring and managing problems and incidents, and performing maintenance and remote troubleshooting measures in the Armed Forces' IT and telecommunications systems. DriftE has about 300 employees distributed across 8 departments, with the Production Department (ProdAvd) being one of them.

ProdAvd is responsible for production planning and following up on the IT/Tele support delivered both centrally and locally within the Armed Forces. The Production Department is also responsible for developing, describing, and following up on our IT and Tele processes, planning for the implementation of major changes, and coordinating the implementation of changes in our IT systems.

Other

The position is civilian and a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period for those who are currently not employed within the Armed Forces.

Start date according to agreement.

Work location: Arboga.
