What does the job as a residential support worker at Frösunda entail?
As a residential support worker, you work in the operation to support, motivate, and stimulate the individual's own ability to perform activities in daily life. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their everyday life.
The residential support is granted for children, young people, and adults with various types of disabilities, which is why the individuals' skills, needs, and development guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.
The tasks of a residential support worker include documentation, preparation of implementation plans, and contact management. Examples of tasks:
- Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds
- Documentation and reporting
- Outings, walks, training, and activities
- Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, social presence
- Support and motivate the customer for increased independence in their daily life
Working hours are scheduled according to the customers' needs and vary between day and evening.
About Short-Term Activity Åkershus 26Åkershus 26 is a short-term activity that has both short-term supervision and short-term stay.
The short-term supervision is for those with disabilities who no longer have the right to leisure homes but still have a need for it. Supervision is offered before and after the school day, as well as during holidays and study days. Short-term supervision offers relaxing and active leisure activities that provide customers with both physical and mental stimulation. They have the opportunity to socialize with other young people under adult supervision.
Short-term stay is primarily for young adults who still live at home with their parents. Short-term stay is an initiative to give the individual the opportunity for recreation and a change of environment, while relatives receive respite. Short-term stays occur in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We would like you to enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should easily collaborate with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.
- We prefer that you are a nursing assistant, preschool teacher, or have another equivalent education.
- It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience working with LSS and have care experience.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
- We would like you to have good physical ability.
Employment type: Temporary position for 1 year
Extent: 75%
Start date: By agreement
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
